Rio is a chocolate/tan LH Chi mixed with Pom(?). He is only 7 years old and weighs 8.1 lbs. We are desperate for donations to help get Rio started on his much needed heartworm treatments. Or maybe you would like to adopt Rio? His adoption donation is $225 to cover his heartworm treatments, and he will need a quiet home where he can recover stress-free for the next four weeks. Rio will be spending the next three days at our vet's office getting his much-needed heartworm treatments. Wish him luck!7-1-08 Halfway through heartworm treatment, and I'm doing GREAT! I have even put on 0.4 lbs which is practically unheard of for my condition. I have been feeling so much better that this July 4th really will be my 'Independence Day' from heartworm disease! I have also been sponsored by Katie and Henckley so my adoption donation has been reduced to $125.7-15-08 I passed with 'flying colors'! I am now heartworm free and ready to go home with you. I may look a little rough right now, but my coat will be coming back in thick again real soon. Won't you please call about me? I am such a charmer once I get to know you, and seven isn't really that old for us Chihuahuas. We can live longer than most breeds out there.
